59% of Graduates Report an Increase in Salary after they Learn to Code

Looking for ways to update your skills and increase your salary? According to a recent survey by SwitchUP.org, learning to code is one of the best investments for your career development.  It doesn't matter what your background is; you can learn how to code. Computer programming and software is at the forefront of every industry.

Bootcamp review database, SwitchUP.org surveyed over 300 code school and coding bootcamp alumni to find some interesting statistics about their career development. 

Here is a brief summary of their findings:

  • More than 60% of coding bootcamp alumni found work in the tech industry within six months of graduation.
  • 86% of students were happy with the education they received from code schools due to the content that was taught and a good teacher/student ratio.  The average student/teacher ratio of a coding bootcamp is 8:1.
  • With an average tuition cost of $8k, coding bootcamps prove to be a great investment.  Graduates who learned to code made their money back in only one year after their salary had increased.

These are key indicators that coding bootcamps are evolving the professional education system and prove that learning to code is the best long term investment for your career in the 21st century.
